ANUBSERAN THE NERUBIAN WEAVER

June 25, 2008 | Comments (1)

Nerubian Weaver needs some serious farming in order to be powerful. Bracers are a must to solve its horrendous HP. Radiance is great for Weaver, allowing it to deal damage while chasing with Shukuchi. Next, get Butterfly to increase Weavers AS, armor, and evasion. Finally, get a Heart so that Weaver’s HP isn’t so sad.
If the game extends, upgrade boots to BoT, followed by damage items in the form of MKB and/or Buriza for more DPS.

ANUBARAK THE NERUBIAN ASSASSIN*

Rush Bottle, followed by Dagon. Bottle gives the mana and regen he needs to perform his combos. Dagon is rushed to extend his combo damage, as NA is normally used to take out a specific target hero that’s a problem for the team. Nerubian Assassin is totally flexible in what items to get. After your Dagon, feel free to get either Heart for tanking hits or Guinsoo for the disable. Or both if you are in a position to farm for it. Boots should be upgraded to BoT late game. If the game continues to extend any longer, get Butterfly and Manta Style for DPS.

AKASHA THE QUEEN OF PAIN

June 22, 2008 | No Comments »

Akasha makes use of all 3 stats, so Skadi is a great item on her. Skadi makes sure the opponent will never escape. Guinsoo gives her nice damage, and a disable, which is always handy. Akasha participates in ganks very often early and will be roaming lanes from time to time. Therefore Bottle is a good item for her to hold. It gives much faster regeneration than Perseverance. Because I no longer get Perseverance, Linken’s is out of the build. Without Linken’s Sphere, Akasha’s gets to increase her damage earlier.
Should the game last any longer, upgrade boots to BoT, then get damage items like MKB or Buriza to increase her DPS.

AIUSHTHA THE ENCHANTRESS

June 19, 2008 | Comments (3)

Enchantress is better played as a supportive tank than a DPS hero. Nulls allow her to deal more damage when harassing with Impetus. You may opt for bracers if you against heavy nukers. Heart is obtained to let her take more damage, especially from nukes which are her downfall. BoT is obtained for better chasing and teleporting. Guinsoo’s add more damage and gives her a nice supply of mana and regen. Finally, Linken’s because Enchantress is one of the few heroes who benefit from all 3 stats, plus the spell block is pretty useful. Most games would end by now.
Should the game prolong, an Assault Cuirass, and/or Butterfly would be nice as finisher items.

AGGRON STONEBREAKER THE OGRE MAGI

June 13, 2008 | No Comments »

Arcane Ring is cheaper than Eul’s and it provides Ogre Magi with sufficient mana and regen to keep spamming in the early game. Aghanim’s is the standard item, allowing him to score more multicasts with more damage. Eul’s followed by Guinsoo’s provides Ogre Magi with an extra disable for the team, and BoT is pretty self-explanatory. Most of your items should end there. Blink Dagger is optional if you’re in need of an escape skill.
If the game goes any longer, feel free to get anything you like. You could get MKB to take advantage of increased AS from Bloodlust, or Manta for some hefty images.

ABADDON THE LORD OF AVERNUS

June 11, 2008 | No Comments »

Abaddon is best played as a supportive tank. Therefore he should have Heart to take more hits, and Radiance to help draw fire. A Diffusal in early to mid game helps a lot in ganking, and can be upgraded to Manta later. Manta is a great item on him, allowing him and his images to mark different targets with Frostmourne, and they get the increased AS too. BoT is standard for better chasing.
If the game lasts any longer, I suggest Buriza for more damage or Linken’s for more survivability.
