Huskar - Sacred Warrior Guide

EARLY GAME TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES: In this sub-section I will list a couple techniques that will show you how to keep yourself ahead of your opponents early game. (These techniques can be used for every characters in Dota, not just Huskar)

-Creep Killing: When in your lane you will notice that you get bonus gold of 40-50 when you get the last hit on the creep. Try to do this to as many creeps as possible as it will help you get your items faster. But don’t get greedy for creep kills, or else your opponent might focus fire you.

GUIDE & COUNTER : Abaddon - The Lord of Avernus

April 9, 2008 | No Comments »

Counter for Abaddon The Lord of Avernus : Mogul khan - The Axe

This guy would be the biggest problem for Abaddon because of his ulti. When you cast burrowed time it means nothing for this guy a berserker’s call then ulti would kill you any time. So watchout…

Abaddon ’s GUIDE :

Early Game:

Get ring of basilus (sobi mask+ring of protection), ring of regeneration and animal courier if you can afford it.

GUIDE & COUNTER : Vol`Jin - The Witch Doctor

April 5, 2008 | No Comments »

Early Game:
Lvl 1 ~ 6

ITEMS :

Ring Of Basilus, Lesser Clarity Potion, Flask Of Sapphire Water

Ring Of Basilus will give a +65% Brilliance Aura which is quite useful at your case because of your low starting mana. The flask and clarities are only backups if you received some nukes or you’ve used a skill to harass a hero.

STRATEGY :

Try to go into a lane with a melee hero, or a hero with no strong nukes like Zeus, Lina, Lich etc.. as much as possible, creep denial should always be your first priority, the creep killing is 2nd to your list.. If you decide to harass a hero at lvl 3 Paralyzing Cask and a lvl 1 Death Ward on your hand you can do so, Jst clean up the melee creeps then try to keep the ranged creep alive so the casks should bounce only on the two units.. ( hero & creep ) most melee hero stay on the back of the ranged creep so they can get exp, thats the right opportunity for you to do your job.. at lvl 3 Paralyzing Cask it can bounce 6 times meaning, 3 sec disable for your enemy hero and sufficient time to cast a Death Ward. Remember dont cast the Death Ward in front of the target, cast the ward at his back meaning, you should cast it in a place he would surely go to flee..

GUIDE & COUNTER : Leviathan - The Tidehunter

COUNTER HEROES  Leviathan - The Tidehunter :   Life Stealer, Centaur Warchief, Magnataur, Stone Giant

GUIDE :

Early Game

Ok, so you are using the leviathan. He is by no means the "best" hero in the game. But as far as the tanks go, he is very strong. I usually save my mana, and use no spells so when I finally hit level 6 I can use my ravage. Occasionally, if an enemy hero is low, I will try a gush on him. Gush has a long range and decent damage, but you wont be pwning many heads with it.

I recommend an animal courier for this hero. I usually would not, but the Leviathan is so ponderous that you really do waste a lot of time walking back and forth, unless you’re in the middle lane.

Guide & Counter: Lucifer - The Doom Bringer

March 31, 2008 | No Comments »

Counter Heroes : The Lord of Avernus, Omniknight, Tidehunter, Necrolyte

Pick top lane sentinel, bottom lane scourge. Being close to the secret shop cuts a lot of precious travelling time. Lucifer can easily solo, even against two melee heroes. If its one ranged and one melee, he just might have some trouble, especially if they’re nukers, if it’s two ranged, best pick another lane or ask for a ranged partner.

Lion - The Demon Witch Guide & Counter

Counter Heroes : Life Stealer, Anti-Mage

Additional tips for playing as the Support Lion: 1. Remember that if you have Guinsoo, you have 2 Voodoos at your disposal. In 5v5 battles, you can take out 2 heroes at a time with the hexes you’ve got. That is Lion’s biggest contribution to a team battle: Disable. Listen to your allies on who they want you to disable, and follow them. After all, DotA is all about teamwork. 2. Try to use all your cyclone charges before you complete your Guinsoo. Remember, you are paying for the cyclones. Its best to use them when you are being ganked, hex a hero and cyclone the other one. Its also a gem when you and your team are chasing a fleeing hero. 3. If an ally is in trouble, don’t hesitate to help him. Hex whoever is chasing your ally and tell your ally to help you pound on that foe while he’s hexed or impaled. 4. Make good use of runes. If you see a DD rune, utilize it and try to kill an enemy hero with it.
